“Donera Go Green” Project

By targeting a diverse array of communities—including urban, rural, Indigenous, and mixed areas—the Greening Our Communities project aims to implement tailored solutions that address the specific environmental and socioeconomic challenges faced by each community. This holistic approach will empower residents to take an active role in creating sustainable, resilient environments that benefit current and future generations.

• Reduce Waste and Improve Waste Management Systems • Build and equip community recycling centers, providing residents with accessible options for recycling materials like plastics, glass, and metals.
• Educate households and businesses on effective waste separation, composting organic waste, and reducing single-use materials.
• Collaborate with local governments to implement and enforce improved waste management regulations that incentivize sustainable waste disposal and recycling.
• Develop and Expand Green Infrastructure
• Establish green spaces such as urban gardens, community parks, and tree-planting projects to enhance biodiversity, improve air and water quality, and create cooler urban environments. The goal is to increase green spaces in urban areas by at least 20% over the project’s duration.
• Launch tree planting and reforestation campaigns in both urban and rural communities to combat deforestation, reduce carbon emissions, and restore local ecosystems.
• Educate and Engage Communities in Sustainable Practices
